The reference photo was taken in High Park (Toronto) many years ago... High Park Cherry Blossom season only lasts 7 to 10 days every year, attracted thousands of viewers every day. The last year 2020, the park was closed due to covid 19, and only a virtual tour was provided. This year may be the same...
I also take inspiration from Vincent Van Gogh Painting" Girl in White", by using forceful color and fresh paint strokes, I would like the viewers to feel how the beauty of cherry blossoms and the youthfulness of life are sadly transient.

It's a memorable moment in my life. I was trying to create a decorative piece by using color with style and harmony - the bright lemon yellow background is intended to echo with the orange dress.
This is my favorite piece as it reminds me of the true moment of observing, out of curiosity, I lost myself, feeling the true joy of creativeness and happiness. I create because it makes me happy!
One night, in 2017, on the life drawing open studio session, a lady modeled with a curvaceous body, she posed for my class so gracefully … it was a pleasure to observe her beautiful curves. Both my mind and soul were lost in the amazing moment of observing and creating…I felt I was touched by a Muse for a brief moment. The lines I drew on the paper was simple, determined, graceful, and full of life.
